Horse riding lessons

I teach riders of all levels — from complete beginners having their very first ride to more experienced riders wanting to improve their flatwork, jumping, or overall confidence. Every lesson is tailored to you and your horse.

I work with children, teens, and adults. If your child is very young or new to riding, I’m happy to have a quick chat first to ensure lessons are the right fit.

Not at all! Beginners are very welcome. We’ll start with the basics, focusing on safety, balance, and building confidence before moving on.

I offer beginner to advanced lessons, including flatwork, dressage, basic jumping, and general good safe riding technique.

I focus on these main disciplines:

  1. Dressage & flatwork – improving balance, position, and communication with your horse.
  2. ShowJumping – from poles and small cross rails up to full courses, depending on ability.
  3. General riding & horsemanship – confidence building, groundwork, and understanding your horse better.

My goal is to help you become a more effective, confident rider while keeping your horse happy and relaxed. I specialise in individual 1-1 or group training sessions in dressage, showjumping and cross country.

Lessons are typically 45–60 minutes, depending on the horse’s fitness and the rider’s goals, and if it’s a group lesson.

Yes, small group lessons can be arranged for riders of similar ability. These are great for learning and can make lessons more affordable.

Yes! I help riders prepare for dressage tests, showjumping, or general competition confidence, including warm-up strategies and goal setting.

Developing and retraining ex-racehorses is my passion. I have a long experience with schooling and retraining racehorses to their new careers.

Non-ridden sessions can be invaluable for building the horse-rider relationship or working through behavioral issues.
